SportMoray Club Network Evening

Due to a successful funding request to the Elgin Rotary Marafun Fund, SportMoray have organised this Club Network Evening for sports club members in the Moray and surrounding area as well as for individuals involved/interested in sport. Due to the success of three previous sportMoray Club Network Events in 2008/2009, it was decided that these type of events be a regular opportunity on the sportMoray calendar.

Aberdeen Sports Person of the Year 2009

Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen Sports Council and Chris Anderson Trust are looking for nominations for their annual sports awards evening recognising sporting achievement in 2009. There are a wide variety of categories including senior, junior, veteran, team, coach and volunteer. The closing date for nominations is Friday 26th February 2010.
Awards will be presented on Friday 30th April 2010 and the evening will also include the presentation of the Active Schools Aberdeen award and Aberdeen Universities award.

ECB Level 1 Umpiring Course Aberdeen

This course will give the umpire an excellent grounding in the laws of cricket and will stand him/her in good stead for officiating in his/her first couple of seasons. The Laws are taught in Modules. Modules covered are:

• Substitutes & runners etc
• Scoring
• The Wicket
• No ball – foot faults & LBW
• Fieldcraft and Working as a Team
• Revision & Mock Exam
